National Camp 2012 T -Shirt Design Competition

The 12th National Camp 2012 will be held at Pulau Tekong from 25th to 28th August 2012. The theme for the National Camp this year is “Challenge the Resilience of Our Youths”.
A T-shirt design competition will be held to chose the best design for the 12th National Camp T-shirt to be worn by every camp participants. This competition is open to all Secondary School UG Students. The closing date for the competition is 30 June 2012 before 5.00 pm.
Introduction
The 12th National Camp for all Uniformed Groups of the MOE will be conducted from 25th to 28th August 2012. It will be held in the island of Pulau Tekong. This is the first time the island, which is the SAF’s training ground for recruits, is open to the students and participants of the camp. The theme of this National Camp is “Challenge the Resilience of Our Youths”.
Design Competition
To mark the first event preceding the camp, a design competition will be held to chose the best design to don on the 12th National Camp t-shirt to be worn by every camp participants. This competition will be open to all Secondary School UG Students.
Outline of Competition
The selected design may be used to print on the front and back of the camp t-shirt. Participating entries may recommend the base colour of the t-shirt to match the colours of their design. It is recommended that not more than six colours be used for the design, as in the camp logo.

These are the cadets selected for the Riverside Secondary Frisbee Competition:

Details:
Instructions for games:
1. Each game will last for 5 minutes
2. Maximum of 5 players allowed in each game, with a minimum of 2 female players
3. Players are to play within the rectangular playing area and 2 scoring zones which will be marked out clearly.
4. 2 teams competing in the playing area will be separate into an offensive team and a defensive team. This will be decided via the mean of tossing the Frisbee
5. Both teams will be positioned behind the baseline(breadth of the playing area) at each end of the playing area
6. The offensive team will first toss the Frisbee towards the defensive team
7. Frisbee can be thrown in all directions
8. A change of possession will take place if a pass is out of the court, drop of Frisbee and block intercept to defense
9. Teams must make a minimum of 3 passes to score a goal. One of the three passes must be made to a female player before scoring.
10. In order to score, a player must receive Frisbee while standing in the opponent’s scoring zone.
11. Defenders are not allowed to stand in the scoring zone.
12. Any one time there should only be one player in the scoring zone and the maximum duration that player can remain in the scoring zone is 5 seconds, else a foul will be called
13. The player must have both legs in the scoring zone for it to be counted as a goal
14. Once a goal is scored, the possession will be given to the opposing team. Both teams will start at each end of the court.
15. Players are not allowed to move when in possession of the Frisbee. Consequently, the only way to move the Frisbee towards the goal is to pass the ball to a teammate, else a foul will be called, followed by a change of possession
16. Pivoting is allowed
17. Substitution is not allowed during the game unless player(s) is/are injured
18. Cadets must shake hands with opponents before and after the games.
Rules& Regulation
· All players are to be in the appropriate attire (PT Kit) before the start of the game (school PE/ Unit t-shirt and track pants, no ankled sock and NO wearing of any hand/ neck accessories during the game).
· NO physical contact is permitted. For example, hand-slapping or elbowing. IF contact is made, there will be a change of possession.
· Player must stand at least one arm’s length away from opponent during defense
· The team with the highest score wins.
· Cadets must respect the referee’s decision. The referee’s decision is final
· Referees reserve the right to disqualify any players that use vulgarities or show disrespect.
