Inter-Unit Dota competition

Venue: St.Joseph's Institution

Dear cadets,

St.Joseph's Institution will be organizing an inter-unit Dota competition.The main objectives of the competition are as listed:

  • To teach cadets to face the challenges together as a team.
  • To de-stress and build a closer relationship within NPCC unit
  • To build teamwork and communication within the squad while having fun.
  • To foster sportsmanship among fellow NPCC cadets.

Each school is only allowed to send ONE team to participate in the competition. Each team consist of 6 players (1 reserve), players can be from any level and any gender. Cadets that already passed out are not allowed to participate in this competition.

These are the infomation you guys need to know. If interested, please look for me or call me. If don't have my number or cannot find me, please ask your seniors for help and let them know that you are interested. Thank-you.

CBIB Visit

Date:12 November 2009

This post is with regards to those cadets going for the CBIB visit.
I will tell you guys the details.
All of you all are required to report to school by 2.00pm.
The visit is from 3pm to 5pm. You are required to wear pt-kit and track-pants. Please bring along your writing materials and your consent forms if you have yet to submit it. Thank-you.

Sec 1-3: PT-Kit, Water Bottle (1.5L), Writing materials, Notes (if have), Full-Uniform, Braided-rope

· Do not be late. All are to Fall In at 0730hrs sharp(Cadet Leaders are to fall in at 0720hrs sharp)

· Take note that anyone(Sec 1-3) who attends late, fail to attend without VALID reason, forgets to bring any of the required items will have their names taken down in the Discipline Record. This will affect your promotion result

· The Unit Standing Order is to be strictly adhered to by all cadets(Sec 1-5) during weekly parades and HQ Events/Activities

If you are sick, tell your SQD mates to take note and produce a MC to the teachers on the following Monday morning. Written letter will not be considered as an excuse unless of special reason.

Promotion Test for Sec 3s

Sec 3s:

During the days of your NCO Camp, 20th and 21st Nov, you will be having your Promotion Test. the 22nd November will be your Promotion Ceremony.

Things to take note & study for the test

  1. Theory Test: Tent Pitching, FlagStaff, Drills, Knots & Lashings
  2. Practical Test- As follows:
  • How prepared and ready is yr uniform?
  • Foot Drills- All that u have learnt from Sec 1 till now, eg. Sizing, Saluting on March, Rifle drills, etc etc etc
  • You will be asked to take over a squad, your MOI and SOI will be tested
  • Lashings- Square, Diagonal, Shear, Round, Gyn Lashings will be tested
  • Knots(uses also), Tent Pitching & FlagStaff will be tested
  • Simple Gadget- Go and research through: There are many types of gadgets to do different things: eg, Holding three pairs of shoes, hanging uniforms, hanging mess-tins.

Plus, all yr attendance, responsibility, commitment, attitude, etc etc will be tested

NCO camp

Date: 7 November 2009

To all sec 2 and 3 cadets. Our officer, Ms Wong, wants all sec 2s and 3s to hand in your NCO camp consent form this saturday. Your reply slips are required to be signed by your parents regardless weather you are going for the camp or not. This is a must. Failure to do so will result in disciplinary actions. Thank-you. Hope to see all of you guys this saturday parade.
